Jaguar Owners Association (1955 Thru 1957)

George Evdokimov and others formed the Jaguar Owners Association (JOA) in late 1954 early 1955. This was the first Jaguar Club formed post-war. The JOA only last a few years, but it evolved into the Jaguar Club of North America (JCNA), which of course is still popular today. The JOA published a monthly (sometimes every two months) magazine - The Jaguar Journal - which featured technical tips, race and rally results, and various other things. The JOA was strictly a volunteer organization, and suffered from a lack of funds and content contributions from its membership. When the JOA and Evdokimov ran out of funds and energy, the JOA and Jaguar Cars met and decided to form a new organization - the JCNA. The Jag community owes a big debt to Evdokimov (pictured above, with his wife), as Evdokimov was essentially the creator of the predominant Jaguar club in North America.

I recently picked up about 80% of the Jaguar Journal magazines the JOA published. I really enjoyed reading about the early issues XK owners faced, along with the suggested workarounds to the problems. I decided to scan the more interesting articles and put them on my website. I hope you enjoy them as well.

Please let me know if you have Jaguar Journal magazines from 1955 or 1956. I would like to complete my set. Thanks.
